Start your first ramble
- Open RambleBox and tap Start talking.
- Allow microphone access. Prepare English speech-to-text if asked; this initial download needs internet access.
- Speak naturally, then tap Finish and wait for the transcript.
- Review the words. Edit, clean up, copy, share or save a text file.
Check Apple Intelligence
In RambleBox, open Settings → Apple Intelligence. Ready means the on-device model is available to the app. Off means Apple Intelligence is not enabled. Getting ready means Apple is preparing its assets. Not supported means this iPhone is not eligible.
To enable it, open iPhone Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri. RambleBox cannot switch this system feature on for you. Return to RambleBox and check again when setup finishes. See Apple’s current Apple Intelligence requirements.
Clean-up is included in Free and Pro. It can change wording, so check the output. The original transcript remains available.
Microphone access is off
Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and allow RambleBox. You can also find permissions in Settings → Apps → RambleBox. Close another app if it is using the microphone.
Transcription was interrupted
Open the note and choose Retry transcription if temporary audio is available. A call, a disconnected accessory, low storage or another app can interrupt listening. Leave the app time to finish after tapping Finish. The app keeps the text already saved, but it cannot guarantee recovery of speech that never reached storage.
Storage is nearly full
RambleBox needs working space while listening. Finish your current ramble and free space before starting another. Temporary audio may be larger than the final text and is removed after a complete transcript is saved. Deleting a note also removes its pending temporary audio.
Ten themes, one app
Open Settings → Theme and choose Ink Blue, Sage, Clay, Plum, Rose, Sand, Teal, Slate, Olive or Cocoa. The choice stays selected until you change it. Each follows your iPhone’s light or dark appearance.
Keep and share your words
Use the note menu to rename or edit text. Copy text uses this device’s clipboard. Share text opens Apple’s sharing options. Save as text file exports a .txt document. These exports are not a RambleBox backup that can be imported later. There is no audio export or playback.
Free notes and Pro
Free allows ten notes at a time. Delete a note to make room or buy Pro to remove the note-count limit. Pro is a one-time purchase, with a planned UK launch price of £19.99. It does not add AI hardware support or multilingual transcription. Apple shows the local price before purchase.
To restore an eligible purchase, use the same Apple Account and choose Settings → RambleBox Pro → Restore Purchases. For refunds, use Apple’s refund service.
Languages and devices
The first release is for iPhone on iOS 26 or later, with English speech-to-text and an English interface. Speech support is checked on the device. Translation, automatic language detection, cloud sync and iPad support are not included.
